Executive Director – Wallace Thompson
Wallace Thompson is Executive Director of Communities In Schools of Chester County, Inc. , a position he has held for the past 17 years. Prior to Communities In Schools he held the position of Training Manager for several textile companies in North and South Carolina.
A graduate of Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, Wallace holds a B.S.
Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Economics, and a concentration in Accounting. He is a Senior Certified Grants Specialist as well as a Families and Schools Together (FAST) National Trainer.
Program Director – Nikki Godfrey-Hill
Nikki is a former teacher of 14 years with the Rock Hill School District in Rock Hill, SC. She specialized in Single-Gender Education and was leader within her district for piloting and sustaining best practices in education that allowed all learners to celebrate success.
Mrs. Godfrey-Hill was awarded Teacher of the Year in 2008 for her outstanding efforts to reach under-achieving students. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from The College of Charleston in 1999. Accolades include: South Carolina Reading Initiative Pilot Participant (2000-2003), South Carolina Governor’s School for Excellence, Roper Mountain Science Institute attendee, ADEPT-trained Mentor, and former Challenger Afterschool Director for India Hook Elementary School. It is her nature to support and nurture learners from all backgrounds and to improve upon their abilities and strengths. Formerly she sat on the board of trustees for Brown’s Corner serving as the education specialist and secretary. Moving into the staff position for Program Director was an easy transition for both she and the Lewisville High School students served.
